The Promised Neverland Honours Its Eighth Anniversary Through Illustration by Posuka Demizu

This year marks the eighth anniversary of the Promised Neverland manga, and to celebrate, illustrator Posuka Demizu created a unique drawing.

Japanese manga series The Promised Neverland was created by Kaiu Shirai and drew by Posuka Demizu. It ran as a serial in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from August 2016 to June 2020, when it was collected into 20 volumes with a total of 181 chapters. In addition to a live-action film from 2020, it has a two-season TV anime adaption by CloverWorks. Additionally, Amazon Studios is working on a live-action American series.

The anime may be streamed on Crunchyroll, while the manga was licensed in English by VIZ Media. VIZ explains the first volume's plot:

Emma, Norman and Ray are the brightest kids at the Grace Field House orphanage. And under the care of the woman they refer to as “Mom,” all the kids have enjoyed a comfortable life. Good food, clean clothes and the perfect environment to learn—what more could an orphan ask for? One day, though, Emma and Norman uncover the dark truth of the outside world they are forbidden from seeing.
