After Finale Quintessential Quintuplets Gets New Anime Project

 



The Quintessential Quintuplets series is getting a new anime project which will focus on the events that transpire 

following Futaro's honeymoon and wedding. Negi Haruba will oversee the motion picture. The announcement was 

made at the anime's fifth anniversary celebration, which took place at Yokohama Arena and featured the primary 

cast:


  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Futaro Uesugi

  • Kana Hanazawa as Ichika Nakano

  • Ayana Taketatsu as Nino Nakano

  • Miku Ito as Miku Nakano

  • Ayane Sakura as Yotsuba Nakano

  • Inori Minase as Itsuki Nakano

The Quintessential Quintuplets is getting a new light novel and television series in addition to the 

new anime project. These will portray the lives of the sisters not included in the manga. Author of

 the manga Negi Haruba will serve as Hajime Asano's supervisor while he writes the novel. 


The Anime Corner crew got the chance to speak with producer Junichiro Tanaka, writer Keiichiro

 Ohchi, and animator Kazuya Shiotsuki about their work on The Quintessential Quintuplets~ special

 last year. When a question about prospective new projects was posed during the special's panel,

 producer Tanaka responded that he was unaware of what our reporter had called “a funny tone.”


During the ceremony, the character song by Futaro Uesugi and the cover sleeve for the 5th Anniversary

 Best Album were also unveiled. The character song by Futaro will be released digitally on April 29

, 2024, and the album will be released on September 18, 2024.

The manga of the same name, written and illustrated by Negi Haruba, was adapted for the anime's

 first two seasons as well as the film. The animation for Tezuka Productions' first season of the anime

 adaption of The Quintessential Quintuplets ran from January to

 March 2019. In addition to animating the film, Bibury Animation Studios took over for the second 

season, which debuted in 2021. In September 2023, SHAFT's anime special made its theatrical 

debut in Japan. Two episodes of the show were then broadcast on television.

Crunchyroll is streaming the series and they describe the plot as follows:

Uesugi Fuutarou, a high school second-year from a poor family, receives a highly appealing offer 

to work part-time as a tutor… but his students turn out to be girls from his own class! What’s more,

 they’re quintuplets… and all five are beautiful, but happen to be problem students who have border

line grades and hate studying! Looks like his first assignment will be to win all the sisters’ trust?!

 Every day is a wild party in this rom-com centering around the quintuplet sisters of the Nakano 

household!

The official EN X (formerly Twitter) account has revealed that the highly popular anime series Arknights will receive a third season, called Arknights: RISE FROM EMBER (stylized as Arknights TV Animation: [RISE FROM EMBER]). The first teaser trailer for Arknights Season 3 may be seen below for readers.



The following teaser was released for the trailer: "Doctor. Seeing you again makes me very pleased. Production on Arknights TV Animation: [RISE FROM EMBER] has begun.



It is anticipated by fans that Arknights: Perish in Frost (Season 2), which debuted in October 2023, and Arknights: Prelude to Dawn (Season 2), which debuted in October 2022, will be the model for Arknights Season 3. Yuki Watanabe has directed every season, and each one features music by Yuki Hayashi. Yostar Pictures animates the series, currently working on Disney+ exclusive Go! Go! Loser Ranger! and Blue Archive The Animation. Their upcoming golf anime Sorairo Utility airs in 2025.


Arknights is based on the RPG game of the same name, created by Chinese game developers Hypergryph and released in May 2019. Crunchyroll streams the anime series and describes the plot as:

Season 7 of My Hero Academia Reveals the Star and Stripe Visual


A new image for My Hero Academia Season 7 features Star and Stripe, the most popular US hero, 

who will be voiced by Romi Park. On May 4, the new season kicks off. My Hero Academia: Memories,

 a four-episode recap series, concluded its broadcast today.



Kenji Nagasaki is the chief director for the upcoming season, while Naomi Nakayama is the director.

 The series composition is under the direction of Yosuke Kuroda. The character designers are 

Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Udashima. The soundtrack is once again composed by Yuki 

Hayashi. The opening song "Tagatame" by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure and the closing song "Tsubomi"

 by Omoinotake serve as the theme song performers.


Star and Stripe Arc will be the main emphasis of the upcoming season. Star and Stripe, played by 

Romi Park, the greatest American superhero, is headed to Japan to help fight All Might. Still, he and

 Tomura Shigaraki are prepared to fight back.

My Hero Academia is getting a new movie called You're Next in addition to Season 7. The film is 

scheduled to have its Japanese premiere this summer. A brand-new character who resembles All 

Might will be revealed.


In the summer of 2024, a fourth anime film will be shown in Japanese theaters.



Kenji Nagasaki, who directed the first three seasons, will return as chief director for the seventh 

season. Yuuki Hayashi will compose the soundtrack, Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima will

 design the characters, and Yousuke Kuroda will serve as the series composer and screenplay. The 

series director for season seven is Naomi Nakayama (Koikimo, Orange main director), who has some

 prior anime experience.

The action manga series by Kouhei Horikoshi, which debuted on July 7, 2014, in Shueisha's Weekly

 Shonen Jump and has 39 tankoubon volumes published as of November 2023, serves as the basis for

 the anime. Jump Comics is the publishing label for the manga.  

Viz Media releases the My Hero Academia manga in English and describes the story as:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an 

ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for 

budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might,

 the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…

Key visual and trailer for Steeplechase Chapter Arc revealed in The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3



A new teaser and key image for the upcoming Steeplechase Chapter arc were unveiled in The Irregular at Magic 

High School Season 3. The four-episode arc, which has the same title as the 13th book in the light novel series, 

will premiere on May 3. "Snow Noir" by Sangatsu no Phantasia will serve as the arc's closing theme, while 

"Shouted Serenade" by LiSA will serve as its opening theme.

 



On April 5, the show debuted on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11. As the series airs, it can be 

streamed on Crunchyroll. On March 31, there was an advanced screening of the show.

"Shouted Serenade," the opening theme tune, is being performed by LiSA. The "Recall" ending theme music 

for the "Double Seven Arc" is performed by Kairi Yagi. The "Shion no Hanataba" (A Bouquet of Purple Flowers)

 ending theme music for the "Koto Nairan-hen" (Ancient City Rebellion Arc) will be performed by ASCA.


Launched in 2008, Tsutomu Satou's light novel series The irregular at magic high school (Mahōka Kōkō no

 Rettōsei) ended with the 32nd edition in September 2020. In January 2021 and October 2020, the two sequels 

were released. 


The first four episodes of The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 were titled Double Seven. The Ancient City 

Insurrection, which is scheduled for five episodes, will also be covered in this season. Studio 8bit's anime series is

 helmed by Jimmy Stone.Kana Ishida is in charge of the character designs, while Taku Iwasaki is working on the 

music. Muneo Nakamoto is writing the script for The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3.


The web novel by Tsutomu Sato served as the inspiration for the Irregular at Magic High School series. Dengeki 

Bunko released it in 2011 as a light novel after it was first published on Shosetsuka ni Naro. There are also manga 

versions of every story arc. 2020 saw the start of the Irregular at Magic High School: Magian Company sequel.


The third season is being directed by Jimmy Stone (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor's Arc and The

 Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc assistant director), with scriptwriting by Muneo Nakamoto of

 Lightworks (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor's Arc and The Irregular at Magic High School: 

Reminiscence Arc), character design and chief animation director Kana Ishida (The Irregular at Magic High School

 series), sub-character designer Asumi Hashimoto (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor's Arc and The 

Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc co-animation director), and music composer Taku Iwasaki 

(The Irregular at Magic High School series).

 




The anime produced by MADHOUSE debuted in the spring of 2014 with its first season, and in the fall of 2020 

with its Visitor Arc sequel. While the first season of MADHOUSE was animated, 8-bit took control for the second

 season. On December 31, 2021, the prequel The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc (studio 8-bit) 

broadcast. There is also a 2017 studio 8-bit film in the series called The Girl Who Summons the Stars. Spin-off 

anime The Honor at Magic High School by studio CONNECT aired throughout the Summer 2021

 season. 


The irregular at magic high school 26 episodes of a TV anime that debuted in April 2014 were 

broadcast. The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc, the title of the second season, debuted 

 in October 2020 and consisted of 13 episodes. The film The Irregular at Magic High School The 

Movie: The Girl Who Summons the Stars, which debuted in Japan in June 2017, is another part 

of the anime franchise. A 13-episode TV anime based on the manga series Honor Student at Magic

 High School debuted in July 2021.

 


 

After managing the animation production for The Irregular at Magic High School, Eight Bit is 

handling it again. The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor's Arc, The Irregular at Magic High

 School: Reminiscence Arc, and the anime film The Girl Who Calls the Stars are the films. The 

animation for the first season was produced by Madhouse.


Starting on October 12, 2008, and ending on March 21, 2011, Tsutomu Sato published the serial

 as an online novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro. After that, from July 10, 2011, until September 10, 

2020, it was released as a light novel series under the Dengeki Bunko imprint of ASCII Media 

Works, including brand-new drawings by Kana Ishida. Thirty-two volumes in all, plus six more 

side story volumes, were published.



A follow-up show called The Irregular at Magic High School Magian Company began in October

 2020. Another spinoff series titled New – The Irregular at Magic High School: Maidens of Cygnus 

began in January 2021. The series has also inspired several manga adaptations and video games.

 

 


Yen Press releases the light novels in English, describing the first volume as:

The year is 2095. Magic has been tamed as another form of technology, and the practice of magic

Studio GoHands Revealed Momentary Lily Original Anime

 Momentary Lily is a new original animation production by Studio GoHands, which debuted in January 2025 and released a teaser image and trailer on Thursday. A website and an X (formerly Twitter) account have also been launched, although the cast, crew, and synopsis have not yet been revealed. On the image, the words "Our daily life is always fun" are visible:

In 2008, the animation studio GoHands was founded. They were responsible for the anime adaptations of Princess Lover!, Coppelion, Project Scard: Scar on the Praeter, Mardock Scramble, and Student Council Staff Members (Seitokai Yakuindomo). Furthermore, GoHands and GoRAin worked together to create the TV anime version of the K Project, which debuted in October 2013.



In addition to Frontier Works and Kadokawa, the studio previously worked on Hand Shakers, an original anime that debuted in 2017 and its follow-up, W'z, in 2019. In 2018, a stage play adaption of Hand Shakers was also produced.

The anime versions of The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today and The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses, which both debuted in July 2023, have been animated recently.

The K television anime series by GoRA and GoHands debuted in October 2013 and has since been followed by a TV series sequel, multiple anime films, manga adaptations, and manga spinoff tales.

The original television anime series Hand Shakers by GoHands, Frontier Works, and Kadokawa debuted in January 2017 and was later adapted into a stage play in 2018.

The first anime project W'z by Frontier Works and GoHands debuted in January 2019 and served as the basis for a stage play that was adapted in April of the same year.

The anime series The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today and The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses have also been animated by the company.

New Trailer for My Oni Girl Film Unveiled; May 24 Netflix Release Date

 The official trailer and image for Netflix's original anime film My Oni Girl have been published. The film will debut on May 24. A sneak peek of the Zutomayo theme music, "Truth in Lies," may be heard in the teaser.


A new teaser and image for the previously announced anime film My Oni Girl were unveiled in advance of its May 24 release date. Tomotaka Shibayama is the director of Studio Colorido's (A Whisker Away) original anime, which will only be available for streaming on Netflix. The personnel also consists of:

My Oni Girl is one of three films that animation production company Studio Colorido is working on with Netflix; the first being Drifting Home, which came out in 2022. In 2020, Netflix streamed A Whisker Away, a Studio Colorido production, prior to these two films.



Netflix describes My Oni Girl as: 

My Oni Girl tells the story of Hiiragi Yatsuse, a first-year high school student who struggles to make friends despite his efforts to please others. His life takes an unexpected turn when one summer day, he meets Tsumugi, an oni (demon) girl on a quest to find her mother in the human world. Snow mysteriously begins to fall… and their adventure begins.

 


 Netflix describes the movie:
The long-awaited fourth feature-length film and latest work from Studio Colorido tells the story of a boy and an oni (demon) girl. Yearning to get along with others and not be disliked, first-year high school student Hiiragi finds himself unable to say no whenever someone requests something of him. One summer day, while unsuccessfully carrying out yet another request, he encounters an oni girl named Tsumugi, who has come to the human world to search for her mother. She does whatever she pleases and is the complete opposite of Hiiragi. Studio Colorido presents this fantasy tale of youth that unfolds over one wintery summer.

Trailer and image for Kimi wa Meido-sama anime revealed; October 2024 premiere date

 A trailer and image for the previously announced anime adaptation of Kimi wa Meido-sama (You Are Ms. Servant) have been revealed, along with the date of premiere in October 2024. The series is being animated by Studio FelixFilm.


Deko Akao is in charge of the series composition, while Ayumu Watanabe is in charge of series direction. Masahiro Tokuda is the composer of the music, and Tomoyasu Kurashima is in charge of character design. Additionally, the main cast has been revealed, and it stars Reina Ueda as Yuki/Xue and Toshiki Kumagai as Hitoyoshi Yokoya.


Based on a manga series written and illustrated by Shotan, the Kimi wa Meido-sama anime has been serialised by Shogakukan's Sunday Webry manga website from June 2020. The eighth and most recent compilation volume was released in January of this year, with the first one coming out in October of 2020.

Toshiki Kumagai plays Hitoyoshi Yokoya in the anime, while Reina Ueda plays Yuki/Xue.

FelixFilm's anime is directed by Ayumu Watanabe (Children of the Sea, Space Brothers, Fortune Favours Lady Nikuko). The series scripts are overseen by Deko Akao (Higehiro, Komi Can't Communicate, Flying Witch), character designs are done by Tomoyasu Kurashima (Infinite Stratos), and music is composed by Masahiro Tokuda (Ishura, Platinum End). 



The manga, published by Shogakugan Asia under the English title You Are Ms. Servant, features the following plot summary:

This is the story of a maid who is all alone in the world, but who finally finds a family.
Told from a young age that her only worth is as a killer, Yuki had known nothing else except cold efficiency and following orders. Now that she has a chance to leave her past behind, she arrives at the doorstep of Hitoyoshi Yokoya, asking to be employed… as a maid?! Thus begins the journey of a former assassin learning what it means to be ‘normal’!

Anime Adaptation of Laid-Back Camp Author Afro's Mono Manga

 An anime adaptation of the Laid-Back Camp manga written by Afro is in the works. The primary staff details were also disclosed, along with a teaser image and video. The narrative, which centres on the experiences of high school ladies involved in the Cinephoto Club—a club that combines photography and film—takes place in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture.


Under the leadership of Ryota Aikei (associate director of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2), Aniplex is developing the anime at studio Soigne. Takuya Miyahara (Frederica opening movie, Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie co-main animator) is creating the character designs, while Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) is penning the screenplay. The teaser video features the voices of the anime's voice actors, who have not yet been revealed.The animation production firm is called Soigne. It was established in June 2023 and previously worked on the music video for VSPO!'s April opening song, "Hikarunaru," which is a cover of Your Lie. The president of Soigne assisted with several episodes of Encouragement of Climb: Third Season and Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit as a production assistant.

In March 2017, Afro released the four-panel comic in Houbunsha's comic Time Kirara Carat. The manga centres on high school girls who participate in the film and photography-focused "cinephoto" club. The manga's third collected book volume was released by Houbunsha in October 2022, and the fourth volume will be released on April 25.

Launched in 2015 in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine, Afro's Laid-Back Camp manga was later moved to the Comic Fuz manga website in 2019. In March 2018, Yen Press started publishing the comic in English.

In May 2017, the manga was first serialised in the magazine Manga Time Kirara Miracle! published by Houbunsha. The series was then moved to the Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in December of the same year following the publication of the last issue of the aforementioned magazine. There are presently three volumes of the series available, and on April 25th, the fourth volume is scheduled for release.

For the announcement of the anime adaptation, Afro also created a commemorative illustration.


The manga was adapted into an anime series, which debuted in January 2018 and was streamed live on Crunchyroll for a total of 12 episodes. There was also an English dub of the first season available on Crunchyroll. In January 2021, the anime's second season debuted. The third anime season, Yurukyan△ Season 3, will debut on April 4 at 11:00 p.m. JST on the AT-X channel, followed by Tokyo MX at 11:30 p.m. JST and BS11 at 12 midnight JST (really, April 5). Based on the manga, an anime movie debuted in July 2022 and was made available for viewing on Crunchyroll in November of the same year.
