A new image and video for the anime Murai in Love were unveiled, along with information about the opening theme, cast expansion, and the release schedule for both the Japanese broadcast and Disney+ streaming. October 6 is when the anime will premiere in Japan. Starting on September 4, it will only be streamed on Disney+.
The opening theme song "Henshin!" (Transform) is performed by Strawberry Prince's Rito, while Studio J.C. Staff handles the animation.
Saori Goto as Yuka Saito, Mikoi Sasaki as Hitomi Saito, and Yuki Hirose as Yayoi Fukunaga are among the new cast members. In the newly released image below, all three of them are shown with the previously revealed cast.
The cast of Murai in Love anime includes Yoshinobu Yamakawa, who directs the show, Susumu Yamakawa, who composes the series, and screenplay, and Ruka Kawada as the music composer.

The manga written and illustrated by Junta Shima served as the inspiration for Murai in Love. With seven published volumes overall, it ran from June 2018 to June 2022 on LINE's manga service under Kadokawa's Gene Line label. An eight-episode TV drama adaption of the series ran from April 6 to May 25, 2022. The announcement of the anime adaptation came shortly after, in June 2022.

Murai in Love follows Murai, a shy high schooler who is often invisible, has long hair, and is not someone you would consider exceptionally beautiful. One day, he confesses to a girl he loves, but gets turned down because she only has eyes for her games. However, the next morning, Murai wakes up and decides to change things up. He shows up looking like a completely different person with short dyed hair and clothes resembling Tanaka’s favorite character. All these things to win Tanaka over, but will he succeed?
