Publisher Aniplex and developer TYPE-MOON have announced that the digital version of the famous visual novel Fate/stay night REMASTERED will go live on August 8th for the Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam. The title is an enhanced version of the 2004 visual novel, which has since been adapted for several anime projects, such as the production by Studio Dean in 2006, the anime Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works by ufotable in 2014, and the trilogy of sequel films, Heaven's Feel, which were released in 2017–2020.
Furthermore, a confirmed English localisation and remaster of the direct sequel Fate/hollow ataraxia have been revealed for PC and Switch, however no release date has been given. Originally published in 2005 on the PC, Fate/hollow Ataraxia was ported to the PS Vita in 2014 specifically for the Japanese market.
destiny/stay overnight With HD graphics and animations remastered by series artist Takahashi Takeuchi, REMASTERED is the first official English localisation of the game. Even though this version is based on the Fate/stay night: PS Vita release Aniplex, a division of Sony, Réalta Nua, has not disclosed any information on a PS4 or PS5 release.
Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, a recreation of the cult classic visual novel Tsukihime, which was first published in December 2000 and serves as the world-building prelude to the larger Fate media universe, was released globally last month. Tsukihime was described as "a masterclass in storytelling and visual design" in our review. Tsukihime, or "The other side of red garden," is the second segment of the remake was revealed as a bonus CG, with a release date to be announced.
A "sneak peek" trailer for Fate/EXTRA Record, the PlayStation Portable version of Fate/EXTRA, was also released in July. Fate/Extra Last Encore, an anime adaption produced by Shaft and available on Netflix, is an anime adaptation of the original game. When the remake was first revealed in 2022, no specific platforms were mentioned. The trailer is available to view below:
