Season 2 of Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits will air in the autumn of 2025 as an anime series. The adaptation's first season, which was animated by studio GONZO, debuted during the spring 2018 anime season. There are no known details about the second season's crew or studio.
The 26-episode animation Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits was directed by Yoshiko Okuda, who most recently helmed Cherry Magic! Can You Become a Wizard After Thirty Years of Virginity? animation).
The anime's primary cast consisted of :
- Nao Toyama/Emily Neves as Aoi Tsubaki
- Shinichi Toki/Stephen Fu as Ginji
- Katsuyuki Konishi/Christopher Wehkamp as Odanna
The Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits light novel, authored by Midori Yuma and illustrated by Laruha, is adapted for animation. The light novel was serialised under Kadokawa's Fujimi L Bunko brand and lasted from 2015 to 2019. Waco Ioka's manga adaption is presently running in B's-Log Comic magazine (licenced in English by VIZ Media). In January 2023, a new manga adaptation with illustrations by Tsugaru Toba started to serialise in Shonen Sirius magazine. Author Midori Yuma apologised to the fans for keeping them waiting and shared a thank-you note with an illustration.
