The official website states that October 2024 will see the release of Blue Lock Season 2. To celebrate the announcement, manga artist Yusuke Nomura released a brand-new illustration, which fans can see below:
Following the Season 1 finale in March 2023, Blue Lock Season 2 was first revealed. Blue Lock: Episode Nagi, an animated film based on the series, will be released in Japanese theatres on June 28, 2024. The animation is being produced by studio 8bit.
Beginning with the Fall 2022 season, there were 24 episodes in the first season of Blue Lock. It went on to win Sports Anime of the Year at the 2022 Anime Corner Awards, and for Fall 2022 Anime of the Season, it came in third place behind Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Arc and Mob Psycho 100 Season 3. In addition, it had the eighth-highest rating (8.27) for Fall 2022 on MyAnimeList and an 81% score, placing it ninth overall for the season on Anilist.
The anime Blue Lock is a 2018 Weekly Shonen Magazine release that is an adaptation of the original manga series written and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura and Muneyuki Kaneshiro. Tetsuaki Watanabe directed and Studio 8bit animated the first season of Blue Lock. The series' storyline and composition were under the direction of Taku Kishimoto. For the character designs, Kenji Tanabe and Kento Toya were in responsibility.
