Trailer for Failure Frame Anime Released; July 2024 Premiere

 

The first trailer and new key visual for the anime Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything With Low-Level Spells have been released. The primary cast, the July 2024 premiere date, and Chou Gakusei as the performer of the lead song, "Hazure," were also revealed.

A new teaser and key art for the upcoming Failure Frame anime adaptation were unveiled ahead of its July 2024 release date. Michio Fukuda is directing the adaptation, which is being animated by Seven Arcs. The main cast includes:

• Ryota Suzuki as Toka Mimori
• Saki Miyashita as Seras Ashrain
• Ayami Tsukui as Piggymaru
• Ami Koshimizu as Vicius

Yasuhiro Nakanishi is in charge of the series composition, as was previously announced. The principal animator and character designer is Kana Hashidate. The music is being composed by Tatsuhiko Saiki. The opening theme song from THE ORAL CIGARETTES, "Hazure," written and composed by Yuki Tsujimura and Takuya Yamanaka, is being performed by CHOGAKUSEI. The song can be seen in the trailer.

 Failure Frame is based on Kaoru Shinozaki's OVERLAP Bunko isekai light novels, which KWKM illustrated. As of January 2024, the series has reached Volume 11.5 since its start in 2018..Seven Seas describes Failure Frame‘s plot as:

Abruptly catapulted into a fantasy world, Mimori Touka and his classmates have been summoned by the world’s resident Goddess to serve as heroes. Luckily, most of the students display amazing skills upon arrival—except for Mimori, whose abilities bottom out at a measly E-rank. With no further use for him, the Goddess banishes Mimori to a dungeon from which no one has ever returned alive. Yet, as it turns out, Mimori’s skills aren’t so much worthless as they are abnormal. Abnormally powerful, even. If Mimori can only claw his way back to the surface, nothing will stand in his way from getting revenge.

In the beginning, Failure Frame was published as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2017. In 2019, a manga adaptation got underway.

The light novel series Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything With Low-Level Spells, authored by Kaoru Shinozaki and illustrated by KWKM, will be adapted into an anime.serialised under the Overlap Bunko imprint at the moment. Additionally, Sho Uyoshi's manga adaptation is being serialised by the same publisher on Comic Gardo.Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the Failure Frame light novel series in English and described the plot as:

Mimori Touka has always been something of a background character in his high school. So when he and his classmates are summoned to a fantasy land and gifted with incredible skills, it seems like the perfect opportunity to make a name for himself. The only problem? Mimori’s skills are abysmal at best, and he’s banished to a deadly dungeon. But as he begins to test these new abilities, he discovers just how powerful he’s become. Can Mimori fight his way back to exact revenge?!
