On February 15, Aniplex released a live performance video of Kessoku Band performing their hit song "Flasherbacker". The performance took place at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza’s Main Arena in Chofu, Tokyo, marking a significant moment in the band's journey. This live rendition is part of the "We Will B" tour, and the video was preceded by a short clip showing the voice actresses learning how to play their respective in-anime instruments.
This performance also marks a major milestone as it is the first time that the full cast of Kessoku Band, as featured in the anime Bocchi the Rock, performed live together. The video is now available on Aniplex’s official YouTube channel.

What’s Bocchi the Rock About?
Bocchi the Rock tells the story of Hitori "Bocchi" Gotoh, a girl so socially awkward that even Komi-san would be impressed. Determined to overcome her inability to make friends, Bocchi immerses herself in mastering the guitar, hoping it would be her ticket to popularity. She takes her guitar to school, but instead of sparking conversation, it leads her to being invited to perform at a live show. Though she performs poorly, Bocchi finds camaraderie with the other members of the band: Nijika Ijichi (drums) and Ryo Yamada (bass).
Though Bocchi’s skills are exceptional, her social anxiety hinders her performance. But through her journey with the band, she begins to confront her fears and discovers the power of friendship, ultimately overcoming her social struggles and joining the band full-time.
CloverWorks adapted Aki Hamaji’s 4-panel manga, and the first season aired during the 2022 Fall Anime Season. The manga has been serialized by Houbunsha in Manga Time Kirara Max since 2017. Following the success of the tour, a second season of the anime was announced at the end of the "We Will B" tour.
This live performance of "Flasherbacker" is just one of many exciting milestones for Kessoku Band and the Bocchi the Rock franchise. The combination of powerful performances and heartwarming character growth has made the anime a fan-favorite. As the band continues to gain popularity, the anticipation for the second season of Bocchi the Rock is at an all-time high.
