The highly anticipated Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Season 2 has dropped its first official trailer ahead of the anime's January 12 premiere in Japan. The Origins of Kinnikuman and Its Legacy

Kinnikuman is a legendary Japanese manga series created by Yoshinori Nakai and Takashi Shimada, collectively known as Yudetamago. The series was initially published by Shuiesha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1979 to 1987, later restarting in 2011 in Shuiesha’s Shu Play. In addition to the original manga, Kinnikuman also inspired the sequel, Kinnikuman: The 2nd Generation (also known as Ultimate Muscle in North America), which ran from 1998 to 2004. This sequel also received a television anime adaptation and was broadcast on TV Tokyo.

The original Kinnikuman anime series was produced by Toei Animation and aired between 1983 and 1986, spanning a total of 137 episodes. In the West, it was famously distributed by 4Kids Entertainment and garnered a large international following.
