The second primary trailer for Yakuza Fiancé was unveiled, revealing the opening theme tune and confirming the October 7 debut date. Toshifumi Kawase is directing the animation at Studio DEEN. Both Crunchyroll and Prime Video have confirmed that they will be broadcasting the anime.
The new trailer features the tune "OVER and UNDER," which is THE ORAL CIGARETTES' opening theme.There are now four new cast members on the program:
- Ryota Takeuchi as Aoi Tachibana
- Hiroshi Shimozaki as Sota Inamori
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Taketa Hotei
- Reina Ueda as Tsubaki Akashigata
Asuka Konishi is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga Yakuza Fiancé. Since August 2017, it has been published every month in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine. The first details about the cast and crew of the anime were made public in June 2023, while the announcement dates back to October 2023.
The primary voice cast is made up of Hitomi Ueda as Yoshino Somei and Akira Ishida as Kirishima Miyama, while they recently announced Kazuya Nakai and Yoji Ueda as the voice actors for the main duo’s grandfathers.
The story follows Yoshino, the granddaughter of a yakuza family leader who is offered as a bride to a rival family. She meets Kirishima Miyama, a charming guy who actually has sadistic tendencies, and their relationship develops with the peace between families on the line.
