A new teaser image for the second season of The Detective Is Already Dead has been released. Although the sequel was first announced in July 2022, no information was released until today. Check out the new image, which showcases Siesta, below:

Nigozyu and Umibozu collaborated to create the Japanese light novel series The Detective is Already Dead. The series was first published by Media Factory in November 2019, and as of March 2024, 11 volumes had been published. There are also two manga adaptations of the series: one by Poni and one by Mugiko, both of which have been serialised since 2020.
The Detective is Already Dead light novel series is an English-language license from Yen Press. Crunchyroll, which broadcasts the anime, gives the plot synopsis:
After thwarting a hijacking with beautiful, silver-haired detective Siesta, Kimihiko leads a life of globe-trotting and crime-solving—until Siesta dies. A year later, a new case will open old wounds as it threads murder, conspiracy, and his dead partner!
