The first major image for Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 has been unveiled, and Mutsumi Tamura has been added to the voice cast. Along with Sasaki and Otonari-san, Abaddon is featured in the latest image and will be voiced by the voice actress.
The first season, which lasted from January to March of this year and consisted of 12 episodes overall, was animated by Studio SILVER LINK. Soon after, Season 2 was revealed at Anime Japan 2024, with the opening song "FLY" by MADKID featured in the announcement trailer. It's available for viewing below.
The Sasaki and Peeps light novel and manga have been licensed by Yen Press in English, and the animation can be streamed on Crunchyroll. The narrative is explained in the latter way:
Sasaki is a middle-aged office worker living in Japan. Feeling drained by the vapid corporate world, he heads to the pet shop in search of a new companion. There he finds an adorable bird named Peeps and takes him home. But Sasaki quickly learns that Peeps isn’t your average bird…he’s a powerful mage from another world! Together, they embark on a magical adventure filled with swords and sorcery.
Buncololi wrote the Sasaki and Peeps light novel, while Kantoku provided the pictures. It debuted as a web novel in December 2018 on the websites of Kakuyomu and Shosetsuka ni Naro. In January 2021, it was serialised under Media Factory's MF Bunko J brand. Beginning in January 2021, Pureji Osho's manga adaptation can also be found in Kadokawa Shoten's Shonen Ace Plus.
