Leviathan Anime by Studio Orange reveals the first trailer

 The first trailer for CGI studio ORANGE's upcoming anime, Leviathan, has been released. The animation, which will debut on Netflix in 2025, features music by Joe Hisaishi. They already revealed the anime's first glimpse at Anime Expo this year.


Christophe Ferreira is directing, while Qubic Pictures is producing. Executive producers Daiki Sakurai and Justin Leach are involved. Eden was previously involved with all three of them. The musical composition will be overseen by Kazuma Jinnouchi and Nobuko Toda in addition to Joe Hisaishi on original tracks. The narrative is explained as follows:

In 1914, on the eve of war, a fugitive prince and a girl in disguise meet aboard a bioengineered airship, the HMS Leviathan, and change the course of history. Prince Aleksander, would-be heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, is on the run. Deryn Sharp is a commoner, disguised as a boy in the British Air Service. As World War I begins to erupt, Alek and Deryn’s paths cross in the most unexpected way…taking them on a fantastical, around-the-world adventure that will change both their lives forever.


Originally published in 2009, Scott Westerfeld's novel Leviathan had illustrations by Keith Thompson. The sequels, Behemoth and Goliath, come after it in the Leviathan trilogy.It was awarded the title of Best Young Adult Novel by the Aurealis Award in 2009.


For their 3DCG work on BEASTARS, TRIGUN: STAMPEDE, and Land of the Lustrous, Studio ORANGE is well-known. Joe Hisaishi is renowned for his contributions to both Ni no Kuni and the films of Hayao Miyazaki.
