The follow-up was unveiled at Anime Japan 2024 in March, and its Japanese premiere is scheduled for October 6. The date of release has not yet been disclosed, however Netflix has stated that they will be streaming it. Maki Kodaira is the director of Telecom Animation Film, which is in charge of the animation.

The new trailer features UVERworld's "MMH" as the opening theme song, and Hana Hope's "Akairo" as the concluding song:

Additionally, three new cast members were revealed:

  • Michiko Kaiden as Teaninich
  • Kenji Nomura as Macduff

The follow-up to Nakaba Suzuki's Seven Deadly Sins series is called Four Knights of the Apocalypse. Shortly after the conclusion of the first series, in 2021, the manga started serialisation. English licensing was granted by Kodansha, who narrates the tale as follows:

In the world of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Percival has always lived with his grandfather on the idyllic, remote God’s Finger. And though Percival loves the simple life, he longs for adventure. That is, until adventure comes knocking at his door, tearing away everything he’s ever known and leaving him alone in the world. Now Percival has no choice but to go out into the world and see what it holds…after all, it’s his destiny!

There is an anime version of the original Seven Deadly Sins manga that consists of two films and four TV anime seasons. The first season of the sequel, which ran from October 2023 to March 2024 in Japan, can be seen globally on Netflix.
