Together with the core cast, TMS Entertainment is coming back to animate the follow-up. Yasuyuki Yamazaki is in charge of the music, Kyoko Yufu is in charge of character design and main animation director, and Osamu Yamasaki is in charge of directing and composing the series.

Yuri Kitayama is the author of the Japanese light novel series Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles, which has illustrations by RIV. From February 2014 until October 2020, it was serialised on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. In October 2015, Hobby Japan began publishing the series under the HJ Bunko banner.
