My Hero Academia: You're Next Movie Unveils First Video, Which Features Vaundy's Song

 The full opening video for the Vaundy theme song "Homunculus" from the original My Hero Academia: You're Next film has been released. In its first weekend of release in August, the film brought in over $6.2 million (895 million JPY) in revenue from Japan. This was the franchise's largest opening to date. Below is a video of the entire opening.



In addition, My Hero Academia: You're Next is the first film in the franchise's history to be released in Dolby Cinema, IMAX, MX4D, and 4DX theatres. On October 11, it will make its North American premiere with screenings in both English and Japanese dubbing.

The manga series by Kohei Horikoshi, which ran in the Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 to August 2024, served as the inspiration for the My Hero Academia anime.

Studio BONES adapted the manga for the first time into anime in 2016. In the years that followed, it was given six additional seasons; the seventh is presently airing. The Olympics caused an August 17 postponement for Episode 13.
