Medalist Anime reveals the new visual, voice cast, and second trailer.

 


The second trailer, a new image, and more cast members for the Medallist TV anime adaptation have been released. Yasutaka Yamamoto is the director of the animation, which is produced by Studio ENGI. The latest trailer for the anime, which will debut in January 2025, is shown below.



Ryoka and her instructor Mario are shown in the updated image. Inori Yuitsuka, the main character, has a competitor in Ryoka. Her coach and another rival, Hikaru Kamisaki, were previously highlighted.Jukki Hanada is in charge of the series composition and screenplay, while Chinatsu Kameyama is responsible for the anime's character design.



The new Medalist anime voice cast includes:

  • Makoto Koichi as Rio Sonidori
  • Hina Kino as Ryoka Miketa
  • Megumi Toda as Mario Nachi
  • Kotori Koiwai as Ema Yamato
  • Takahiro Miyake as Yudai Jakuzure

 Japanese manga author and illustrator Tsurumaikada is the creator of the series Medallist. Since May 2020, it has been serialised in Monthly Afternoon by Kodansha. The manga took up the general category prize at the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award. Since May 2021, Kodansha has begun releasing it under license in English. They explain the narrative as follows:

Tsukasa, whose dreams were crushed. Inori, left to fend for herself. These two share a dream…and their tenacity may be the only thing that sees them through. Their destination? The ice…on the world’s stage!
