Haruhi Suzumiya Light Novel Declares the Release Date of Volume 13

A new novel volume in the Haruhi Suzumiya series is called Haruhi Suzumiya Gekijyo (The Theatre of Haruhi Suzumiya), and it will be released globally on November 29. The new book will retail for 770 yen and be released under Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko banner. Look at Haruhi Suzumiya Gekiyjo's cover:

The king wants Haruhi to vanquish the wicked demon kind when she finds herself in a royal palace in the new volume. But hold on, what exactly is this world? We believed our goal was complete when Asahina's magic burst and we learnt everything there was to know about this realm. However, after muttering, "Mission not accomplished," Nagato swept us off to space, a Western film, and finally a mythological realm. Who among the world is behind this? And Haruhi, what are you thinking this time?

Published by Nagaru Tanigawa and drawn by Noizi Ito, the Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series debuted in 2003. Twelve volumes have been published by Kadokawa to date; the most recent was released in late 2020 following a twelve-year hiatus. Kadokawa has also serialised two manga adaptations. The first, written by Makoto Mizuno, was published in one volume after running from May to December 2004. The second manga, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, was serialised in Kadokawa's Comic Ace magazine from 2005 to 2013 and included artwork by Gaku Tsugano. After twenty volumes, it came to an end. Tsugano's manga and the light novel were licensed by Yen Press.

Kyoto Animation's Haruhi Suzumiya: The Melancholy anime debuted in 2006. The anime adapted sporadic stories from the light book series and aired them in a non-chronological order. While the home video version was properly organised, the trailers for the episodes airing next week had both the airing order number and the actual, chronological episode number. It was announced in 2007 that a second season would not air until 2009. In April of that year, the first season was rerun with the correct episode sequence (as well as DVD release cuts). The new episodes, however, were inserted where they made chronological sense. Following the conclusion of the second season, the movie The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was revealed. The film, which has the same title as the light novel series' fourth book, debuted in 2010.

Along with excerpts from The Rampage of Haruhi Suzumiya and The Wavering of Haruhi Suzumiya, the first four novels have been entirely adapted (6). Aside from video games, the franchise gave rise to audio dramas, spin-offs, and more. It received several Sneaker Awards.
