Mattson Tomlin has stated that the previously announced anime adaptation of BRZRKR will start production in October 2024. Having written the script for the 2021 live-action feature adaptation of BRZRKR, he was named as the anime series' showrunner. These further details were made public during Comic-Con in San Diego in 2024.
The American comic book that Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt co-wrote and published served as the inspiration for the BRZRKR anime, which was first revealed in July 2022. The two-season series, which will be available to stream on Netflix, will be animated by Production I.G. Additionally, Reeves will return to his role as "B," which he played in the live-action series adaption as well.
