The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest, also known as Shikkakumon no Saikyō Kenja or simply Shikkakumon, is a Japanese light novel series, written by Shinkoshoto and illustrated by Huuka Kazabana. It began serialization online in December 2016 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō.
The official Twitter account for the The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest TV anime has revealed a new trailer, as well as a January 2022 release date. Studio J.C. Staff is in charge of the production, and fripSide performs the opening theme “Leap of faith”, while Yuki Nakashima performs the ending theme “Day of Bright Sunshine”. You can watch the new trailer:
The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest anime was first announced at the GA Fes 2021
event. Shinkoshoto writes the original light novel, while Huuka
Kazabana is in charge of the illustrations. It also has a
manga adaptation with art by LIVER JAM&POPO, which started in July
2017 on Square Enix’s online manga magazine Manga UP! They describe the story:

become the strongest of all. Upon his rebirth as a young boy, Mathias is
thrilled to discover he’s been born with the optimal crest for magical
