The Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles anime series has finally received a season 2 announcement. The first season of the anime aired in the Summer 2021 season with a total of 12 episodes. There is still no information about the release date of the sequel.

Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is a Japanese novel series written by Yuri Kitayama from February 2014 to October 2020. Hobby Japan started publishing its light novel adaptation in October 2015. The novel is still ongoing and currently has 20 volumes in circulation. The same publisher started serializing a manga adaptation in July 2017 and it currently has 7 volumes. Osamu Yamasaki (Hakuoki series) directed the first season of the anime. Furthermore, TMS Entertainment took care of its animation.
