The opening theme song from Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2 was featured in a new trailer, which also confirmed the show's October 7 launch date. Character images and voice actor interviews were already made public. The opening theme tune "Auftakt" by Aguri Onishi is used in the new teaser; you can view the video below:
Nanaka Suwa will play "Haru Machi Uta," the last tune. The main cast and Studio TMS Entertainment are coming back to animation. Yasuyuki Yamazaki is in charge of the soundtrack, Kyoko Yufu is the principal animator and character designer, and Osamu Yamasaki is the director and composer of the series.

The light novel series Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by RIV. From February 2014 until October 2020, it was serialised on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. In October 2015, Hobby Japan began publishing the series under the HJ Bunko banner. The anime's first season is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, and the company has also confirmed that it has obtained the license for the sequel.
