Attack on Titan Manga 15th Anniversary Project is announced

Today marks the 15th anniversary of Attack on Titan manga, and to commemorate the occasion, a special edition of Attack on Titan magazine will be released on November 6. The magazine will have the same dimensions as the original Attack on Titan serialised in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. It will include excerpts from the 139 original chapters that the project's participants have chosen. The cover was illustrated by Hajime Isayama.

A new poll allowing fans to select which Attack on Titan chapter first captured their attention allows them to express their appreciation for the show. Furthermore, Magazine Pocket is giving away all of the manga's chapters for free for the next 24 hours in honour of the milestone.

From 2009 until 2021, Hajime Isayama's manga was published in serial form in the Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. After the manga's April 2021 conclusion, its chapters were collected into 34 volumes. June 2021 saw the release of the 34th and last volume. The Attack on Titan: FLY artbook was first published in Japan last year, and Kodansha US just obtained the rights to publish it in English. This week, there was a sneak peek at the new project.

In the autumn of last year, an 85-minute special episode marked the conclusion of the Attack on Titan anime's ten-year run. 2013 saw WIT Studio adapt the manga into an anime. The second season debuted in 2017, and was succeeded by a third season that consisted of two courses. Summer 2018 saw the premiere of the first cour, while the second one started in April of 2019.

Attack on Titan Final Season, the franchise's fourth season, saw Studio MAPPA take over. It featured sixteen episodes in all when it debuted in December 2020. Part 2 was announced in March 2021, after it concluded airing. January 2022 marked the commencement of Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2. The whole adaptation of the main tale was presented in the Attack on Titan The Final Season: The Final Chapters specials, which aired in March and November of 2023.In August 2024, news of the Attack on Titan: Last Attack compilation film broke.
