A new image and trailer for SHOSHIMIN: How to Become Ordinary, which will cover the second volume of the novel titled Case of the Summer-Exclusive Tropical Parfait, were unveiled. Mamoru Kanbe, director of The Promised Neverland, is animating Studio Lapin Track (Dead Girl Murder Farce). On August 17, the sixth episode of the new arc is scheduled to air.
Ammo's "Itokenai," the closing theme tune, is featured in the new teaser.
The male protagonist Jogoro Kobato is voiced by Shuichiro Umeda (Akira Tendo in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead), while the female lead Yuki Osanai is portrayed by Hina Yomiya (Anna Yamada in The Dangers In My Heart). The opening and closing videos of the anime were previously made public without any attribution.
The novel series Shoshimin Series is written by Honobu Yonezawa, who is well known for Hyouka. Tokyo Sogensha first published it in December 2004, and as of April 2024, five volumes had been published. The first two volumes, The Summer Special Tropical Parfait Case and The Spring Special Strawberry Tart Case, will be adapted for television.

Kobato,

as ordinary citizens and lead peaceful days. However, for some reason,
mysterious incidents and misfortunes keep coming one after another into
their school lives. Will Kobato and Osanai be able to achieve peaceful
days as ordinary citizens?
