The first trailer for the anime I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons, which features the voices of the main pair, has been released. Jun Fukuyama as Prince Clarke and Haruka Shiraishi as Leticia make up the primary characters. 2025 is the scheduled release date for the animation, which is being handled by Studio EMT Squared. The most recent trailer is shown below.

The series will be directed and character designed by Shinobu Tagashira, with Tomoko Kanemaki in charge of series composition. The two characters' earlier images from the anime were released.

The light novel series authored by Izumi Sawano and illustrated by Miru Yumesaki served as the inspiration for I Want to Get Away From Princess Lessons. It was first made available online at Shosetsuka ni Naro in August 2018 to May 2019, before it was serialized by Shufu to Seikatsu Sha from April 2019 to March 2020 under its PASH! Books imprint. There is also an ongoing manga adaptation by Uri Sugata.

J-Novel Club licensed both the novel and manga in English, describing the story:

Duchess Leticia Dorman has been betrothed to Crown Prince Clarke since age seven. She was once a rambunctious and free-spirited child, but the strict education she’s receiving to make her a fit future princess has really put a cramp in her lifestyle. Her only hope is that the prince might someday take an interest in someone else—so when Clarke shows up to a royal ball with an unknown woman at his side, Lettie is overcome with delight, presuming her dream has come true and her engagement has been broken off! She wastes no time retreating to an easygoing countryside life, but her newfound peace is cut short when the prince shows up and claims she’s still his fiancée! Clarke is determined to win Lettie over and marry her, while Lettie is determined to resist his charms and escape! Who will emerge victorious in this heart-pounding battle of wills?
