Go for It, Nakamura! Manga Gets Anime!!!

The TV anime adaptation of the BL comedy series Go for It, Nakamura! (Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!) was revealed earlier today. Information about the employees and studio is not public knowledge. To honour the news, original author Syundei created a commemorative illustration:

The Go for It, Nakamura! manga, which was first serialised from 2014 to 2017, centres on Okuto Nakamura, a high school student who has a thing for Aiki Hirose. Although Hirose is a classmate, the two have never really spoken, and Nakamura often imagines what might happen to them in their dreams. Opera, a josei magazine published by Akane Shinsha, serialised the manga. It is licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. Additionally, the manga sequel Go for It Again, Nakamura!, which began serialisation in 2017, was licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment to 2021. In total, the series has two volumes.

The story is as follows, according to Seven Seas Entertainment:

Nakamura has fallen in love-at-first-sight with one of his classmates, Hirose–but there’s a problem: they haven’t actually met yet…and Nakamura is a total klutz who might bungle things before they even begin!

Go for It, Nakamura! manga is getting a new print edition in Japan on August 16 in addition to the announcement of the anime.
Syundei is well-known for several anthologies, including Retro BL, and the Boys' Love (BL) novel Total Eclipse of the Eternal Heart.
