July 2, 2024 has been revealed as the debut date for the previously planned anime adaptation of My Wife Has No Emotion. Along with the new key graphic, more cast members were disclosed. The series is being animated by Tezuka Productions, with Fumihiro Yoshimura serving as director. View the latest anime visual for My Wife Has No Emotion:
Yoshino Aoyama as Akari Kosugi and Yu Serizawa as Super Mina are the two new cast members. Zenjiro Ukulele is in charge of character design, Takumi Ito is in charge of sound direction, and Mitsutaka Hirota is in charge of the anime's series composition. The remaining cast members of My Wife Has No Emotion are:
- Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Takuma Kosugi
- Konomi Inagaki as Mina
- Yuu Serizawa as Super Mina
- Yoshino Aoyama as Akari Kosugi
The manga series My Wife Has No Emotion was created by Jiro Sugiura. Beginning in March 2019, it was first released as a webcomic on the writer's Pixiv account. Later, in August 2019, Media Factory obtained the rights and licenced it for use in their Monthly Comic Flapper magazine. Since then, the series has been collected into seven volumes. The manga is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, which says this about it:
A bittersweet love story between a lonely salaryman and his
household robot. Takuma is a single guy who does nothing but go to work
and come home. Too tired to do chores, he decides to get a robot to cook
and keep house. “Mina-chan” is such a good housekeeper, Takuma jokes
that she should become his wife. Mina takes Takuma’s joke seriously, and
slowly the two start doing more things together, like having a picnic
outside. As time goes by, Takuma starts to fall for Mina, but can a
human and a robot ever have an equal, loving relationship?
