In a new trailer, Monogatari: Off Season & Monster Season Unveils Theme Song



The theme music by YOASOBI, which was revealed yesterday, is used in a new trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Monogatari: Off Season & Monster Season. First airing on July 6, 2024, is the anime. The trailer features a song called "Undead," which is a cover of the legends of Orokamonogatari and Nademonogatari.

The much awaited sequel is being animated by Studio SHAFT, with director Midori Yoshizawa and main director Akiyuki Shinbo. Along with Fuyashi Tou, Shinbo is in charge of the series composition. Character design approval is once again coming from Akio Watanabe.

A compilation of side stories with a variety of character focal points is called Off-Season. Orokamonogatari, Wazamonogatari, Nademonogatari, and Musubimonogatari are its four arcs.


It is the novel series' fourth saga overall. In the meantime, six arcs in Monster Season chronicle Koyomi Araragi's time in university:

Hello, Yoimonogatari
Amarimonogatari
Ougimonogatari (two novels) Shinomonogatari

Nisi Oisin is the author of the light novel series Monogatari, while Vofan is the illustrator. The series began serialisation in 2006, and while the volumes span several storylines, they are all concluded with -monogatari. The manga adaptation of the light novel, Bakemonogatari, was drawn by Oh! Great. Since 2018, Weekly Shonen Magazine has serialised it.

With theme music for shows like Oshi no Ko, BEASTARS, and Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, YOASOBI became well-known among anime fans worldwide. Producer Ayumu and singer-songwriter Ikura make up the pair.

Ayase would always respond with "Bakemonogatari" when asked which anime was his favourite. "I was overjoyed to learn that I would be handling the music for the most recent project. I put my entire being into making this, loving every single character that makes an appearance as well as the work itself. I appreciate your support, everyone.

Additionally, Ikura said, "It is a great honour for me to be able to contribute to the music of the most recent chapter in the long-loved Monogatari series. I sang as I carefully considered each character's emotions as they appeared in this piece. I sincerely hope you have fun hearing it.
