One Piece Shanks Movie: The Red-Hair Will Move in 2022!!!

One Piece Shanks Movie: The Red-Hair Will Move in 2022

shanks movie one piece red

With the announcement of the ONE PIECE FILM RED, it was made obvious that it will be a Shanks movie, and that the Red-Hair will finally move in 2022! Let’s remember that Oda-sensei previously teased that a ‘Red-Haired man’ would move this year, and now it seems he was referring to this announcement. There are still so many mysteries about the legendary Yonkou, and you can watch the announcement trailer below:

It will be an original movie supervised by Eiichiro Oda himself. The poster and Oda’s message tease an important female character as well. She’s on the official poster for the movie:

one piece film red key poster

This came after a series of teaser tweets via the official Twitter, which spelled out OP FILM SOON in the Straw Hats’ names, and symbolically they were highlighted in the color red. You can see them below:

With Shanks being as important as he is, a movie focused on the captain of the Red-Haired Pirates would be a must-watch for any ONE PIECE fan regardless of whether it covered his young past or more recent activities in the New World. It being an original story is not specifically neither canon nor filler, so we’ll have to wait for more details.

Are you looking forward to the new ONE PIECE movie? Don’t forget to check out the reanimated version of “We Are!” that’s the opening for episode 1000!

The Girl from the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún OAD revealed a trailer, complete with English subtitles. WIT Studio is animating the feature-length original animation, set to come out on March 10, 2022, bundled with a bonus volume of the manga.

The Girl from the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún trailer

WIT Studio launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the adaptation earlier this year, and it met the goal in just 4 hours. So far, the campaign raised over 22 million yen (which is close to 200 thousand USD). This isn’t the only upcoming fantasy series WIT is working on, as they recently announced Vampire in the Garden.

The Girl from the Other Side (Totsukuni no Shoujo) anime is based on a manga by Nagabe. The manga ran from 2015 to 2021 in Monthly Comic Garden magazine and has 11 volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English. In 2019 WIT Studio animated a short 10-minute OAD, which was bundled with the eighth volume of the manga.

In a land far away, there were two kingdoms: the Outside, where twisted beasts roamed that could curse with a touch, and the Inside, where humans lived in safety and peace. The girl and the beast should never have met, but when they do, a quiet fairytale begins
This is a story of two people—one human, one inhuman—who linger in the hazy twilight that separates night from day.
