Date A Live Season 5 Top 15 Strongest Characters

Date A Live (Japanese: デート・ア・ライブ, Hepburn: Dēto A Raibu) is a Japanese light novel series written by Kōshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. Fujimi Shobo published 22 volumes from March 2011 to March 2020 under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. Yen Press holds the license to publish the light novel in English.

Five manga were published by Kadokawa Shoten and Fujimi Shobo in Monthly Shōnen Ace and Monthly Dragon Age. An anime television series adaptation animated by AIC Plus+ aired between April and June 2013. A second season by Production IMS aired between April and June 2014. An original anime film, Date A Live: Mayuri Judgement, was released in August 2015. A spin-off light novel series, Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet, began publication in March 2017. A third season by J.C.Staff aired between January and March 2019. A fourth season by Geek Toys aired from April to June 2022. A fifth season premiered in April 2024.

Plot:

The series begins with a strange phenomenon called a "spatial quake" devastating the center of Eurasia, resulting in at least 150 million casualties. For the next 30 years, smaller spatial quakes plague the world on an irregular basis. In the present, Shido Itsuka, a seemingly ordinary high school student, comes across a mysterious girl at the ground zero of a spatial quake. He learns from his adoptive sister Kotori the girl is one of the "Spirits" from different dimensions who are the real cause of the spatial quakes to occur when they manifest themselves in the real world. He also learns Kotori is the commander of the airship Fraxinus, crewed by the organization Ratatoskr and its parent company Asgard Electronics.

Shido is recruited by Ratatoskr to make use of his mysterious ability to seal the Spirits' powers thus stopping them from being a threat to mankind. However, there is a catch: to seal a Spirit's power, he must make each Spirit fall in love with him and make her kiss him. Moreover, Shido and his companions face the opposition of the AST (Anti-Spirit Team), a special unit designed to suppress the threat posed by Spirits by eliminating them, which is backed by DEM (Deus Ex Machina) Industries, a conglomerate led by Sir Isaac Ray Pelham Westcott who intends to exploit the powers of the Spirits for his own agenda. As Shido successfully keeps sealing more and more Spirits, he gains allies to help him with his dates with other Spirits but also increases the competition among them for his attention and affection, much to his chagrin.

Date A Live Season 5 Top 15 Strongest Characters:

1.Mio Takamiya:

The strongest Spirit overall, possessing immense physical power and regeneration.Mio Takamiya (崇宮 澪, Takamiya Mio?) is a mysterious woman connected to both Shido and Mana's past. She is also known as the Spirit of Origin (始原の精霊, Shigen no Seirei?) due to her existence being the source for the appearance of other Spirits.

The First Spirit was the first Spirit to ever make an appearance on Earth. 30 years before the beginning of the events in Date A Live, she was summoned into the world by Sir Isaac Ray Pelham Westcott, Ellen Mira Mathers, and Elliot Baldwin Woodman through the Spirit Formula gathering all the world's mana into a single point. However, her birth also caused the first Spacequake in history at some point on the frontier between China and Mongolia, killing over 150 million people and starting a chain of similar disasters around the world that would last approximately six months.

As the Spirit of Origin, Mio is the primordial Spirit responsible for the creation of other Spirits. Her power is immense, with numerous characters noting that her full might is the equivalent to a God. It should be noted that the only times she has been injured were due to other characters using powers derived from her own as a source. She was able to easily defeat all the other Spirits in their Limited Astral Dresses, as well as an entire armada of Wizards and airships by herself. Nia remarks that Mio's powers are cheat-level and would be completely inappropriate for an author to write into a story because such a character would be invincible. In fact, when Nia told Kurumi about her powers, even the Worst Spirit had to admit that she alone will never be able to kill her.

2.Shido Itsuka

Shido Itsuka (いつ どう, Itsuka Shidō?) is the protagonist of Date A Live. Gifted with a mysterious power that allows him to seal the powers of a Spirit in his body with a kiss, Shido works with the Ratatoskr organization to peacefully resolve the issue of Spirits by dating and making them fall in love.

Shido has the mysterious and unique ability to seal the powers of the Spirits into his body, which was first discovered by Ratatoskr sometime in the past when Kotori was turned into a Spirit. This power was bestowed onto him by the First Spirit, Mio Takamiya. Mio gave Shido the ability to absorb more power in order to gradually bestow her own abilities onto him, with each other Spirit acting as intermediary vessels to facilitate the transfer.

Depending on the Spirit itself and how much power they originally had, Shido can either seal a majority of their power or all of it. Shido can also “borrow” the power of a Spirit he sealed, but it depends on how close or intimate he is with that Spirit. This explains the nature of his regenerative abilities. However, it seems that using a Spirit's power (other than regeneration) taxes his body with great pain.

3.Isaac Westcott (Deus):

Isaac Ray Pelham Westcott (アイザック・レイ・ペラム・ウェストコット, Aizakku Rei Peramu Wesutokotto?) was the main antagonist of the Date A Live series who was first introduced in Volume 5. He was the director of Deus Ex Machina Industries.

Westcott is one of the few pure Magus (魔術師メイガス, Meigasu?) left in the world, and held almost unrivaled skill in his hometown. He was able to sense Mio summoning <Ain Soph Aur> from far away. His most notable magical achievement was the Spirit Formula (精霊術式, Seirei Jutsushiki?), which was performed alongside Elliot and Ellen to create the First Spirit. After 30 years of further refining the technology, he would perform it again on himself to turn into the Second Spirit of Origin. Elliot would come to admit that Westcott's genius was instrumental to the creation of the Spirit Formula. While records of the Spirit Formula still exist within Ratatoskr's database, it is considered impossible for humans to replicate the ceremony again without someone at the level of Westcott’s expertise.

Westcott's plan involves making the Spirits go into their Inverse Form in order to extract their Qlipha Crystals from their bodies. Then, he bonds with the crystals to gain their ability to summon their Demon Kings. Westcott is able to accept Qlipha Crystals, which usually make their hosts go berserk, with no noticeable adverse side-effects. However, even he believes that his body could not handle taking in several at a time.

.

4.Beast:

Beast, also known by her original name Tohka YatogamiPrincess and Parallel Tohka is the final antagonist of Date A Live franchise introduced as the main antagonist of the two final volumes of the Light Novels (from Volume 21 to Volume 22) Tohka Good End.

Since Beast absorbed all Angels from the Spirits of her world, she can easily manipulate every Angel that Mio Takamiya created. Angels serve as the absolute shield that protects the Spirits; its form, shape, and even its function, all reflect on the Spirit itself. Some Angels are sentient while some works as divine objects. Angels can take on many forms when summoned by their Masters (Spirits), from giant monsters, to instruments and weapons; all of which seem to display some special offensive or defensive power that aid their allies.

Despite the fact that each Angel has a different power that match the power of their hosts, their appearance and abilities change depending on the personality and desires of the host, but in essence, Angels' nature remain the same. Beast is able to channel the powers of the first ten Angels through the form of ten swords hovering around her, therefore, converting the power of the Angels to her own design and erasing their old powers that once belonged to their righteous owners. However, some of them continued to possess their same powers, such as Camael that continued to use pyrokinetic abilities.

Beast was also known for her superhuman strength that was displayed through her claws. With a single swing of her claws, she could easily cut the very wind itself. Her strength is later shown to be much more powerful when she cut Tenguu City in half with a single attack.

5.Inverse Tohka Yatogami:

Tenka Yatogami, also known as Inverse Tohka Yatogami (in Japanese: 逆 夜 刀 十 香 や と と お お か, Gyaku Yatogami Tōka) or Dark Tohka but originally known as Tohka Yatogami, is the true and original identity of Tohka Yatogami, who is one of the main female characters of the Date A Live franchise and turns out to be one of the main antagonists at times when she goes in Inverse Form; more precisely when she is pushed to the brink of despair and reveals her true form of a tyrannical misanthrope who hates all life and creation from the bottom of her heart.

At all times Tohka use her sword to fight with dwellings which produce powerful waves of dark energy capable of sweeping away everything in its path. Nehemah looks like a gray throne, merging with her sword creates Paverschlev, capable of destroying an entire building, leaving a swath of devastation throughout the city with one massive attack. Tohka also has an amazing defense, ever since it was damaged by any enemy attack, or Ellen or any Spirit.

6.Inverse Origami Tobiichi:

Origami Tobiichi, also known by her Spirit's codename Angel, is one of the main heroines in the Date A Live franchise. She serves as a major antagonist initially and the main antagonist in Volumes 10 and 11, Tobiichi Angel and Tobiichi Devil, as well as the second half of the third season of the Date A Live anime, Date A Live III. She is one of the Wizards of the Anti Spirit Team that serves the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force as an Ace Wizard and later becomes the Adeptus 3 of Deus.Ex.Machina Industries once she joined Isaac Ray Peram Westcott's side to get her revenge and replace Jessica Bailey. She want avenge her parents that she thought were killed by Kotori Itsuka and Camael during the Great Fire, 5 years prior the series. She is also the secondary protagonist of Date AST Like, a spinoff manga which focuses on her relationship with Mikie Okamine in the AST, as well as the main character of Date A Origami, a four-koma comic strip manga which focuses on the romantic comedy aspect of the main series.

Origami is a highly intelligent classmate of hero Shido Itsuka, who is athletic, "beautiful", and the most famous person in Raizen High-School. She is the only human "girlfriend" of Shido, and out of all the other girls who like him, she is the most aggressive (and sexually aggressive) in her pursuit of him showing no bounds in her attempts to learn more about him, get closer to him, or even on trying to get more intimate with him. Her hatred of Spirits stems from a Spirit who killed her parents five years prior when it blasted her parents after they managed to escape their burning home. Due to this, she joined the AST, in which she holds the rank of Master Sergeant, in an attempt to find the Spirit supposedly responsible for the fire Efreet and kill her. After failing to kill the Spirits, Origami becomes a Spirit by Phantom to seek more power. Unfazed, she persuaded Kurumi Tokisaki to send her to the past in an attempt to fend off Phantom who at the time she thought was the Spirit who caused her parents' deaths, five years prior. However, it was revealed the Spirit who killed her parents was none other than herself. Upon this revelation, she becomes an Inverse Spirit, Devil Origami.

Her angel is Metatron which is a large crown that floats around her head, which can call out larger pieces of floating golden pillars that seem to resemble to a larger crown that surrounds her. Her powers are mainly the control of light energy. In her inverse form, her Astral Dress, Ehyeh, turns dark and becomes more revealing. Kotori called the inversed Origami a 'worst spirit' comparable to Kurumi.

After prolonged exposure to negative emotions when she found out that she was the one who killed her parents, Origami transformed into her other form, which, according to Westcott, is the true form of spirits in the bordering dimension. She obtains Satan, a darker and sinister version of Metatron, and much like other cases of Spirits entering in their Inverse Form, her Astral Dress becomes much darker and more revealing and she gains a veil over her head.

Presumably, Origami has the same powers as the ones aforementioned, but a dark coloured one instead. Origami has no control over her body in this form, attacking everything and everyone in sight. However, this could also be because of the shock she suffered when she found out the truth.

7.Inverse Nia Honjou:

Nia, also known as the Second Spirit, is a Spirit who appeared on Earth sometime after the First Spirit appeared and is claimed to be the only one who knows any information about the First Spirit and her whereabouts. At some point, the DEM captured her by unknown means and she fell into a comatose state. She was first mentioned in Volume 7, where Kurumi only decides to help Shido rescue Tohka to create a chance for her to find and rescue her. However, it turns out that Nia wasn't held captive in that particular DEM facility.

In Volume 12, Nia's location was revealed to be at the Neryl Island, a DEM's private island in the Pacific Ocean. On the island, she was given the label Material A (資材 A, Shizai A?) and was being moved to another place through a DEM transport aircraft. Kurumi attempted to free her with a swarm of clones but failed to do so as the clones were defeated by the new Adeptus 2. Nia, however, reacted to Shido's Spirit Wave upon him going berserk. Eventually, she managed to escape thanks to Shido shooting down the aircraft for her. When Kurumi found the wreckage of the transport aircraft, Nia had already left.

Nia inversed after being forced to remember the excruciating pain she suffered in her suppressed memories of DEM's torture. Her Demon King <Beelzebub> retains <Rasiel>'s information gathering and future describing, with the latter ability now utilized at a much faster rate than in her normal state against the Spirits in their limited Astral Dresses. It can also summon shadow-like creatures from the pages. She cannot distinguish friend from foe in this state. Because her Inversion was caused by her agony, Shido started to reawaken her consciousness with <Gabriel>'s pain-relieving Requiem. However, her Qlipha Crystal was extracted by Artemisia Bell Ashcroft and given to Westcott before he could properly change her back to normal.

Due to Spirits being the foundation for the creation of the Realizer, Nia is compatible with the Realizer Manifestation Device and can use it to create a Territory like the rest of the former Spirits. Her prior ownership of <Rasiel> means that Nia specializes in using her Territory to track and locate people, which she used to help evacuate civilians caught in the damage of <Beast>'s rampage.

8.Kurumi Tokisaki:

Kurumi Tokisaki (ときさき くる, Tokisaki Kurumi?) is the third Spirit to appear. Due to her brutal actions, she is referred to as the Worst Spirit (最悪の精霊, Saiaku no Seirei?). She is also the first Spirit to appear as an antagonist in the Date A Live series.

Mana Takamiya reported that Kurumi Tokisaki is the most dangerous Spirit ever known. She has killed over 10,000 people, with an estimate of only around 100 being Spacequake victims. As such, her title as the Worst Spirit comes from personally killing her victims with her own hands.

Living up to her reputation as the Worst Spirit, Kurumi is a brutal fighter with a unique set of powers that make her a difficult opponent for many. Her large number of clones ensures that it is nearly impossible to match her in a battle of numbers, with her being reported to be the Spirit that did the most damage during the raid against DEM's Japanese Branch Headquarters. Uniquely, Kurumi is a Spirit who has taken in two Sephira Crystals, allowing her access to two separate Angels.

Kurumi's other powers:

Zafkiel

Time Manipulation

City of Devouring of Time

Clones

Shadow Manipulation

Rasiel

9.Mukuro Hoshimiya:

Originally, Mukuro had isolated herself from society by living in the vast emptiness of the cosmos. However, she was eventually discovered by DEM Industries through Westcott's <Beelzebub>. The company then launched a fleet of warships and multiple squads of Bandersnatch units to capture her. Nevertheless, she effortlessly stopped the attack using her Angel and simultaneously dropped artilleries at 42 different locations around the world in retaliation.

According to Shido, Mukuro's powers make her a Spirit whose danger level could rival Kurumi Tokisaki or the Inverse Spirits. The latter statement is proven true when Mukuro displays the capability of fighting on par against Tohka in her inverse form, to the point that the latter acknowledged her as a worthy opponent despite her previous scorn toward the "Key Spirit". During the Spirit battle royal, Origami acknowledged Mukuro as a top threat on the same level as Kurumi Tokisaki and Kotori Itsuka. Mukuro can also remain in outer space for an extended period of time without any need to eat or breathe.

Mukuro's Angel, Michael, has shown to have the following abilities:

  • Segva (セグヴァ, Seguva?. lit. "Lock"): Seals away certain functions of the target. Mukuro first used this ability to shut down DEM's machines and Fraxinus' satellite Realizers. As seen from Shido's example with his copy of <Haniel>, she can also seal the ability of other Angels. At full power, she claimed that it could be used to stop the Earth's rotation. Although when she attempted this, there was a delay due to the overall size of the target, and the Spirits were able to delay it further by channeling their Reiryoku into the ground via Yggdra Folium.
  • Lataib (ラータイブ, Rātaibu?. lit. "Unlock"): Allows Mukuro to open up holes in space that can be used to teleport herself, summon forth meteorites, and redirect incoming attacks.
  • Shifuru (シフルール, Shifurūru?. lit. "Release"): Unleashes the true potential of <Michael> by transforming it from a key-shaped khakkhara to a Chinese halberd. When in this form, <Michael> can be used to awaken the hidden power of other Spirits as well.
  • Jerez (ヘレス, Heresu?. lit. "Solution"): Decomposes Reiryoku and the bonds holding molecules together. First used during her battle against Tenka to annihilate the Inverse Spirit's Astral Dress and the surrounding buildings.
  • Tefete (小鍵テフェテー, Tefetē?. lit. "Small Key"): Shrinks <Michael> down to a miniature version small enough to be held easily at the palm of a person's hand. Although Mukuro has yet to use this ability herself, she instructs Shido to use this form when trying to unlock his past memories of Mio, as the Angel's normal size proved inconvenient to direct at his own head. This causes Shido to wonder if Mukuro had also used Tefete in the past when she sealed her own emotions.
  • Unnamed Energy Beam: From the tip of <Michael>'s key, she can launch a concentrated beam of Spirit energy that can pierce through anything.

10.Kotori Itsuka:

Kotori Itsuka is Shido's foster little sister; she is also a middle school student as well as a commander of a secret organization known as <Ratatoskr> that deals with extraordinary beings known as Spirits through peaceful means.

Kotori Itsuka was born as a human. However, she received the powers of a Spirit during an incident five years before the main story of the novel started. Nevertheless, the nature of Kotori's powers makes her prone to losing control to destructive impulses over the urge to defeat another Spirit and has caused widespread damage during the two times it was unleashed. For this reason, Kotori sees her Spirit powers as a last resort that she only chooses to use during a desperate situation. Origami viewed her Angel's firepower as a top-tier threat during the Spirit battle royal in Tenka's artificial world, where the destructive impulses no longer handicapped her.

Kotori's powers are centered on the manipulation of flames that erupt from her body and can be used in close or ranged combat. She has displayed control fine enough to incinerate one of Kurumi's clones holding Shido hostage without harming Shido himself. Her AA-ranked Angel Camael comes in the form of a large red halberd but can be dismantled into Megiddo, a cannon powered by Kotori's own flames. A single blast completely incinerated several of Kurumi's clones intended to block the attack, the original's left arm despite her Astral Dress, and a portion of <Zafkiel>'s clock. The cannon's intense heat caused Shido to suffer even while standing directly behind Kotori. Origami believes that she would have been badly burned from the residual heat, even after narrowly dodging its direct blast during the battle royal, if she was not wearing her Astral Dress.

11.Natsumi Kyouno:

When Natsumi first appeared in the series, she was in an abandoned amusement park outside of Tengu City where she met Shido. They chatted a bit as Shido tried to warm up to Natsumi, and things were starting to go well until the AST arrived and began attacking. This assault was not a problem for Natsumi as she turned the AST and their weapons into cartoonish creatures and objects. However, a problem arose when a stray missile, which had become a carrot, exploded near where Natsumi and Shido were standing and threw dust into the air. This shock caused Natsumi to release her transformation power temporarily and caused Shido to cover his eye from the light emitted from Natsumi. When Shido was able to see again, Natsumi got angry at him and thought that he saw her secret (which he did not). She left the scene quickly after threatening Shido for discovering her secret.

As the Spirit of transformation, Natsumi's powers are a versatile threat limited only by her imagination. Through this gift, she is able to render even dangerous explosives and weapons into harmless and comical items. She can even shapeshift someone's body to remove external injuries, although she acknowledged that it was only temporary first aid before requiring serious treatment, as she cannot fix blood loss or internal injuries. Uniquely, she can even copy the powers of other Angels. However, in order to copy, Natsumi must first be aware of the principles behind the Angel, and even then, the power of the copy is inferior to the original.

Natsumi’s <Haniel> is an AA-ranked Angel in the form of a witch's broom. The broom itself can be ridden for high-speed flight, allowing her to easily outspeed a group of DEM Wizards aside from their leader Ellen. <Haniel> has the power of transformation, with Natsumi being able to transform anything, including herself, into anything else within a range of at least 1 kilometer. The target is designated by the light emanating from a mirror contained in <Haniel>’s bristles, which can also be summoned on its own without the broom. If she loses concentration or becomes unconscious, everything that had been transformed will return to their original state. Her own transformation can also wear off simply from sneezing. After getting severely injured by Ellen, she was unable to use <Haniel> until she recovered. The transformed objects or subjects, including herself if she transforms, will be a near-perfect imitation of whatever they were transformed into. However, the memories and personalities of the transformed objects or subjects will remain the same.

12.Yamai Twins (Kaguya and Yuzuru):

Yamai was originally one Spirit, but for unknown reasons that may be related to her teleportation between dimensions sometime in the past, she was split into two bodies and minds. The original personality of Yamai is now gone, as well as what type of character she used to have is unknown to the split Yamais. The Yamai Sisters have been well known to the people who knew about the existence of Spirits because they often cause a major storm every time they come to Earth.

Due to having their Sephira Crystal split in half between each other, both twins share the same powers commanding wind. In terms of speed, they are regarded as the fastest Spirits. After hearing that they were originally one being, Reine theorizes that Kaguya and Yuzuru have their own unique Path that circulates Reiryoku between the two of them. She compares it to the Path which Shido establishes after sealing a Spirit.

13.Yoshino:

When Yoshino first appeared in the series, she encountered Shido while it was raining. From his perspective, Yoshino seemed to be a lost child wandering around in the rain. The next time they met, Yoshino was attacked by the AST and ran away. During the third time, Shido made the decision to save Yoshino from herself and the AST. This decision was because he discovered that Yoshino was an incredibly kind child who didn't want to hurt, even the people who were attacking her.

Yoshino has the ability to manipulate all three states of water in her surrounding area, although generally this is shown in the solid state. Before her sealing, Yoshino would inadvertently cause a heavy downpour whenever she appeared. She usually only uses her powers for defensive purposes due to her kind and shy nature. Being a passive Spirit, Yoshino is very agile when running, hiding, and evading her enemies. Defensively, her Astral Dress has enough defensive power to block an AST missile barrage. However, she is a potent fighter when properly motivated, winning the Spirit battle royal after defeating four other Spirits (although Kurumi surrendered after losing enough Reiryoku to sustain Rasiel, and Origami was ambushed after being exhausted from her prior fight). Learning of Yoshino's victory surprised Kotori because of her passive nature, but Kotori had no doubt that Yoshino had the strength to win.

Her Angel, Zadkiel, is a huge puppet about three meters in length that resembles Yoshinon.[4] In the anime, Zadkiel has two forms. The first form resembles Yoshinon but is a lot bigger, with one red round eye and an eyepatch, large sharp teeth, and white skin. In this form, Zadkiel has the ability to absorb water from the ground and air and release it in the form of freezing air that acts similar to liquid nitrogen. Yoshinon is also able to talk through the puppet and acts as a limiter to suppress the Angel's powers so that it doesn't end up killing anyone. Zadkiel's second form appears to be its true form, this form also resembles Yoshinon but is even larger than when Yoshinon becomes Zadkiel. The second form is larger than a building and does not have an eyepatch. This Zadkiel has the same powers as the other, but its strength receives a significant boost. Zadkiel is manipulated via strings from two holes in its back. Yoshino usually keeps her hands inserted in these holes, but she can use the strings to remotely control the puppet for sneak attacks. Zadkiel shrinks in size after Yoshino's sealing.[5]

At her full power, Yoshino is capable of creating a large blizzard dome that extends to 10 meters. The dome automatically reacts to Reiryoku or the Maryoku fueling AST's CR-Units. Origami notes that she is capable of freezing things without substance, like the Territories generated by Wizards. Kotori even compares the intensity of her ice storms to being constantly targeted by a barrage of shotguns.

Yoshino's Astral Dress is also deceptively durable despite its appearance. It is capable of enduring gunfire from AST that would otherwise be fatal. Shido also notices that her Astral Dress doesn't seem to get wet as normal clothing does during the rain, something which he theorizes is due to a special property of an Astral Dress.

When using Shiryon, Yoshino fuses with Zadkiel, gaining ice armor over her Astral Dress. Her powers over water and ice increase to the point where the surrounding area becomes frozen. Shido remarked that she looked like she was wearing Zadkiel. Usually, her hands in this form are equipped with mittens, but for combat purposes, she can switch to large gauntlets that contain icicle claws.

14.Miku Izayoi:

Miku is a Spirit and an idol. She hates men to the point that Shido even had to cross-dress in order to interact with her. Her Angel Gabriel has the ability to manipulate and brainwash people through her voice. She took an interest in the undercover Shido because he wasn't affected by her hypnotic powers and challenged him to a contest in which that if he lost, he would have to transfer to Rindouji. The challenge was to determine who would earn the title of being the best school. There was a singing contest which was later won by Miku, but the title of best school was won by Raizen High School thanks to its maid café.

As the Spirit of sound, Miku has complete control over vibrations and music. Her powers make her an effective long-range specialist, as she can send her mind control minions to do her work while she sits back from afar. In terms of personal combat, Miku can send vocal shock waves or even bind a person's movements with her voice.

Being sound-based, Miku's power works very effectively through speakers. Broadcasting her concert live was how she managed to put almost the entire city under her spell. But as shown with Tohka, a pair of earplugs are able to block out the sounds and make the wearer immune to Miku's powers.

However, due to being dependent on her voice, straining it can leave her temporarily unable to use her powers. Miku mostly uses her abilities to support her comrades, but seeing that her powers have made her weak in close range combat, Miku strives to accomplish a personal training regime to mediate this weakness. The results of this are shown during her fight against Yoshino in the Spirit battle royal. She was able to effectively use her pipes as a makeshift, close-range, blunt weapon whose destructive powers were amplified through vibrations.

Miku's AA-ranked Angel takes the form of an organ that controls sound. Its abilities can be utilized via the organ, which is controlled with a keyboard, or through her own voice. For her convenience, <Gabriel> could also manifest as smaller organ pipes, which she can use in smaller crowds. Miku can also fight using her voice in the form of sonic waves, which can be deployed both offensively or defensively. However, if Miku overstrains her voice, she will temporarily be unable to use her powers and any applied effects of her Angel will be canceled.

15.Ellen Mira Mathers:

Ellen Mira Mathers (エレン・ミラ・メイザース, Eren Mira Meizāsu?) is the secondary antagonist of the Date A Live series who is first introduced in Volume 5 alongside Sir Isaac Ray Pelham Westcott.

Living up to her title as "The World's Strongest Wizard," Ellen can easily defeat a Spirit with a Limited Astral Dress. She was also able to fight on par with Tohka in her Inverse Form, although she was never able to inflict a serious injury or get the upper hand on her. Nevertheless, she also went into the fight while wounded at the time. Ellen is one of the few Wizards that can use her Territory without a CR-Unit. However, this takes her a lot of concentration. Even without her CR-Unit, she can use a miniature version of her laser blade to slice off the hands of the rebellious DEM board members. Her Territory was notably able to protect herself and Westcott from the brainwashing effect of Miku's <Solo>, which otherwise requires significant Reiryoku. She is also the only person shown to be able to maintain her fighting ability while under Natsumi's transformation. She is also one of the few remaining pure Magus, performing the Spirit Formula alongside Westcott and Elliot to create the First Spirit.

However, it should be noted that all the Spirits that Ellen fought never went all out against her because they were either sealed by Shido, underestimated her, or had been caught off guard. Also, without a Realizer, she is in fact very clumsy and physically weak. During their childhood, Elliot would also tease Ellen for her lack of talent compared to her younger sister. Nevertheless, during the aftermath of their battle, Elliot would admit that Ellen had surpassed him by being able to safely use her power without going beyond her limits.
